Kitesurfing beginners course

In the beginners course you learn the theoretical basics of kitesurfing and do your first flying exercises with a trainer kite on land. The courses are full-day and last from 10 am to 3 pm. With the basic course you are well prepared for our intermediate courses, in which you put the theory and dry exercises into practice on the water. You only attend the beginner course on the first day. After that you change to the advanced course.

Our beginner courses start daily in high season (July and August) and in low season on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 10am in front of the kite school. The beginner course is a group course with a maximum of 4 students per instructor. The course fee includes the kitesurfing equipment incl. neoprene, liability insurance, the VDWS kitesurfing theory book, the theory exam and the VDWS licence.

Requirements for kitesurfing
The requirements to learn kitesurfing are not great. You only need to be able to swim and have a minimum level of physical fitness. Previous knowledge of board sports (surfing, snowboarding, wakeboarding, wakesurfing, skateboarding etc.) is an advantage, but not necessary. The slightly lower water temperature in Lake Silvaplana is almost imperceptible thanks to the neoprene equipment. The equipment is included in the course price.

Are you a snowkiter and would like to learn how to kitesurf?
Even if you are a snowkiter, you should attend this course to take the theory exam for the VDWS licence. The beginner's course is the best preparation for our advanced courses, in which you will practice the theory and dry runs on the water.
