Versatility is my motto! I love to be out in nature, whether on land, in the water or in the air!
I grew up in the middle of the Alps, in Pinzgau in the Salzburger Land, at the foot of the Großglockner. I have tried out all the sports that you can do there, in winter with skis in all variations, in summer by bike or on foot. My parents worked in the open-air swimming pool, so I also came to swim.
The way to triathlon was not far away and so I started with competitions. After 3 years I was in the Austrian national team and on my way to the Olympic Games in Sydney. But a serious accident ruined my chance for a start and so I slowly built up again to venture over the Ironman distance. This resulted in several national championship titles, podium places at the Ironman Austria, national records and 7 starts at the World Championship in Hawaii. After the World Championships I always had time to enjoy the Pacific beaches and to admire the surfers at Waikiki Beach in Honolulu.
I finished my professional career in 2010 and was allowed to continue to coach athletes, teams and events as an Erdinger brand ambassador and state-certified coach.
But it was clear to me that it was time to get to know new sports again. So I started with paragliding, skydiving, surfing, standup paddling and kitesurfing. Nowadays I fly as a tandem pilot passengers through our Alps or watch the beaches from above.
As a kite and SUP instructor I am also allowed to bring this passion closer to my students. The Silvaplana Lake offers ideal conditions for this because of the constant conditions.
I am often to be found on the tennis court again, where I play and also teach in the team league championship.
Silvaplana is therefore the absolutely most awesome spot for me, which combines everything!
In the morning I am on the mountain, in the air or in the office to help my online marketing clients. And after the SUP round at noon I go kiteboarding! Perfect!
